All Minnesotans need access to safe and stable housing. Take action and make an impact on homelessness. By offering your time and talent as a Housing Resource Navigator, you can help people overcome barriers and achieve their housing goals. Moonlight Care provides you with valuable, hands-on experience in housing advocacy, social services, and public assistance programs. You provide the compassion, dedication, and time that our communities need.  

We are currently recruiting for the 2023-24 program year with opportunities beginning in August, October or January. Navigators from all backgrounds and experiences are welcome to apply! 

Qualifications:

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance

• Able to understand and follow instructions

• Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule of 40 or 25 hours per week, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment

•Competent with basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)

• Fluent in English

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent

• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States*

• Able to successfully complete a background check

Responsibilities Include: 

• Help individuals experiencing homelessness achieve their housing goals. 

• Assist clients in navigating social services resources, programs, and benefit systems. 

• Foster strong relationships to help clients build their confidence and skills. 

• Participate in ongoing training and professional development. 

• Gain hands-on experience in social services while embedded in a local organization. 

• Share your experience with the wider community as a Moonlight Care ambassador.
